About Me

I am a creative artist. My creative practice began in Therapeutic Photography and has developed into Documentary. My style of photography is collaborative and participatory. I am passionate about helping people bring out the best in themselves.

I am keenly interested in making work that brings to limelight everyday occurrences via visual story telling. I make photobooks beautifully designed and incorporate texts.

My recent work is documenting my family’s migration experience to the Uk. We are a family of five. Each one of us telling the story from each unique perspectives. It also includes the participation of some other international students and workers with family dependants in the UK in form of audio and texts. Short audio recordings of my interview or rather my chat with other international students with family from various countries who are studying in Leeds and other states in the UK. An international worker with family in the UK also told their story in an interview session.

The primary inspiration for this work is my personal experience. It includes the threat of possible homelessness and the thought of losing my child. The goal is to make useful information available to other migrants to guide and help them make informed decisions to reduce the time it takes to begin experiencing the sense of belonging.

I am deliberate about sustainable practices and total well-being. When we are well, we could be more to ourselves and our world at large.
